After another big sleep in this morning, Cathy kindly offered to take us for a drive after lunch to Vermont, a state over from New York State. We went to a little town called Bennington. ... set so cold). About 2.5 hrs later we were in Albany the capital of New York State. Here they have some gorgeous old building as well, the architecture is amazing. From here we were going to hire a car but as we were both exhausted and not that confident in driving we caught the local bus to Niskayuna, about half an hour and then a taxi to Cath's place. I bought a new camera for this trip. Thought it was time to upgrade from my Nikon Coolpix point and shoot so we bought a Nikon Coolpix with a big ole zoom but its still basically a point and shoot, just doesn't fit in my purse now. Anyhow, it comes with one of the straps so you can carry it around your neck and really scream "tourist"!! Well I did just that ...strapped on the camera ...
