      H aving promised a lady I was talking to yesterday at the Shrine I delayed my trip to Arkansas in order to visit the Mary Of Angels Chapel in the St. Rose Convent. The Convent is HQ for the Franciscan Nuns and has beside it both a hospital and University founded by the Sisters.
      To get into the building I had to ring the doorbell and be buzzed …

      ... declined every single one. "I could never lend myself to any transaction, however respectable" Truman later wrote, "that would commercialize on the prestige and dignity of the office of the presidency". I don't know about you, but I haven't read or learned of any of our 44 presidents who was so ingrained with such presidential character as Harry S. Truman. So common yet so exceptional.
