... Mark lost his Colorado hat (that he had somehow held on to the whole year) in the Corpus Christi airport. But the day wasn't all bad. And there I was, naked, drunk, and floating under the stars . With each gap between waves I thought I was finally at peace with the ocean. Then another wave would come and smack me across the face. Bill: We have played golf four times now. This time we found the Palmilla Beach Golf Club, a new resort course just near the Mustang Island State Park where we stayed this week. This round was a special treat—ocean side views, rolling sand dunes, and we both played great. The Head Pro was very accommodating, the course was immaculate, the staff knowledgeable and informative, and I only lost one golf ball.

... so we had to walk for a bit. We passed by an area where they were flying kites of all shapes and sizes. Julian just wanted to play in the sand so Robin promised him he could after we looked at some of the sculptures. Pretty soon we entered the area where all the vendors and amateur sculptors were. ... corpus cristi , took a ferry over to aransas pass and than drove to rockland where we spotted a nice looking rv park on the water, called sand dollar resort. it wasn't too far from aransas wildlife refgue, but the weather was so bad that we didn't go to the refuge, next time. and there will be a next time!!

the rest of the time was going back to the birding places and to the beach. we are headed back to blanco and than we will post our last blog.
