      ... feel of interstate 64 from Charlottesville to Richmond in Virginia. Rolling hills with green grasses, deciduous trees, and angus grazing in the pastures. I was grateful to have anything, other than desert, to look at. We pulled into a rest area just shy of the Arkansas line for the night. I will say, the long days of driving across the desert were not my favorite. Glad to be in the green!

      ... pour. We were unprepared for rain (funny for a couple from Oregon right?). When we left Oregon the forecast for the week showed all sunshine.
