... Route 66 stops in 2009. As the only constant thing is change, so has the MidPoint Café seen its share of changes. Ownership has changed, and while it looks pretty much the same, we hope that time marching on won’t close this little gem’s doors.

Very few of those miles passed before we crossed another state line, into Oklahoma. This is considered to be the most Route 66-friendly state, with copious signage and lots of attention paid to their remaining sights and attractions.
