    ... t work on Italian history). But it turns out that there were a number of names for malaria in the olden days (I like the sound of 'the olden days'). So not only was there mal'aria (i.e. bad air), there was also malacqua which translates as 'bad water'. Though apparently the latter idea wasn't very popular. So you see, it does have some relevance to my thesis.

    We had a small picnic on the Lyndhurst lawn overlooking the ducks or geese - I forget which now. Then we headed back to Albany on route 9-W so that Emma could see the western side of the Hudson. We passed through a lot of countryside and small towns on the way to Albany. We went through nice sections of Albany so that Emma could see that they existed. Then on to Schenectady - by then it was DARK!

    On October 2nd, 2013 we will embark on a journey that will impact our lives in ways we can only imagine. We will arrive in Johannesburg, South Africa on Oct 4th and drive 22 hours north to Malawi to take part in a 10 day Earthship build. On the 18th we make our way to the east coast to Richard's Bay in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa for a 6 day safari. We will then fly to Livingstone, Zambia where we spend 2 weeks at a hostel in ...

    ... began to play again and I said goodbye to go boogie.
    The concert was fun. I would say there were only around 50 people there. Very intimate. One of my favorite artists, playing a small venue at a new club. It was like a dream. I danced all night.
