... from the exit of GM. After a short lunch, we drove on through the Michigan countryside where we viewed our first deer running across an open meadow, a beautiful sight. We also saw quite a few wild turkey by the side of the road.
We reached the Canadian border at Port Huron where we were met with another downpour from the same storm. Our border wait took about five minutes and a pleasant agent welcomed us and we were free to enter. Welcome to Canada, eh!
... We will have to clear the border, but that should be a straight forward process. Most likely you will see fewer postings over the next week, but once we are back in the explorer mode, the postings will become more regular. much I enjoy the region, winter or summer, and rekindled my desire to
further explore the region at a later date. Thanks for hanging out
with me for the trip, nothing is planned overseas until Sandy and I
take another Rick Steves tour at the end of May to Croatia and
Slovenia, but you never know, something may brew up before then!!
