Today was supposed to be a rain day so we planned things that didn't require good weather. As it turned out it was a beautiful day - probably over 19 degrees!! We started out at the Folk Center - many great pieces from local artisans including quilting, pottery, paintings, woodworking, jewellery no more. Then we drove to the Builtmore Estate - home of the Vanderbuilts. We didn't actually see it ... A very ...

No guardrail. I did the run down in second gear, regretting every once of extra weight on Judy Too. She a heavy girl to swing around those tight turns. Anyway made it to the bottom of this gorge only to realize the gas station ...

Beer City Day 2

A travel blog entry by amarika on Aug 21, 2012

Today was a pretty chill day of exploring and relaxing. Asheville is a really neat city and has a cool downtown that we were excited to get to explore for a second day. We spent most of the day walking around the city and checking out little shops. We headed back to Mike's to make some spaghetti for dinner and planned on an early bedtime. As we were finishing up dinner, Mike came home and introduced ...
