... at the Cherokee Reservation. It is very commercialised, lots of tourist shops, motels and the casino. We were dropped in downtown Asheville for dinner and went to the Wayside Diner. ... It was incredibly steep with switchback following switchback. For the first mile you had the mountain on your side which was comforting. For the second half, you had a steep drop and sudden stop. No guardrail. I did the run down in second gear, regretting every once of extra weight on Judy Too. She a heavy girl to swing around those tight turns.
