We are really on the final leg of our odyssey. Heading down the pacific coast past beautiful coast & waves & hundreds of seals & really bad drivers. We are staying in San Simeon which is a small town sitting right on the beach. The water looks lovely but I don't have my man suit with me so choose to watch surfers from the shore. Beautiful dinner & ...

... surprised as we rolled into Kirk Creek and set up our camp on a bluff over looking the coastline. Not only were the sunsets beautiful, but our happy hour spot was top notch. Big Sur treated us right as we went on a couple hikes, spent time at the beach and enjoyed our amazing campsite. Our favorite hike here was at Limekiln State Park. We hiked up to a mini waterfall that Owen and Siena of course went in, then it came ...

        ... Abby!

Dave asked me to pick him up in the canoe and when he got in he said we needed to paddle to the back of the cove to get something he found. As we got closer to the edge I saw it was an old anchor. Bonus! He saw it out in the water with the ragged rope still attached so he pulled it in. That will make it a lot easier to fish in the wind. Thanks God.

After we pulled the canoe back in, we found a place to cook lunch in the lake campground, which was ...

... looks small from the road, but surprisingly big once you get in the store. They have a lot of specialty items and very nicely priced produce. OMG they have some really good looking home made pies, yum! They also have an espresso and homemade ice cream bar. Outside they have quite a few farm animals. Horses, donkeys, chickens, goats, llamas, emus, plus a few other animals. We will come back . We continue on to the beach. We noticed there are RV sites along part ...
