    When traveling with 3 kids under 10 you start preparing months in advance! We have packed each person their own duffle bag, packed an extra bag for dirty laundry, and a carload of snacks and drinks that are corn free and fun.     After our long day on the road we relaxed and watched TV to learn the sad news about the Air Asia air disaster. So very sad to learn about the results. Our hearts go out to the Indonesian people who have lost their loved ones.

    After a fun early Christmas weekend with our daughters, son-in-laws and grandkids, we started off on the first leg of our trip - driving down to Aiken, South Carolina. My brother and his wife own a house and property just outside of this small, historic town and they kindly let us stay at their 'ranch' before we fly off to Africa fr om the Atlanta airport.

    ... aspect was that it didn't seem like a wealthy town. I assume that the golf club members come here for the day and the high tail it back to their mansions.

    We went to the golf course and I spoke to the security guard who was just inside the entry gates. He advised me very politely that I was trespassing and that I could take as many photo's as I liked as long as I was outside of the gates.
