... a Guy Fieri pick in Syracuse (see Bethany's post) we let them watch a movie on our way to the hotel. Total screen time for today, 2 hours. Some dinner from Wegman's, water bottles refilled and we adventured out to see the falls at night. The rain poured on our drive over to the falls, but as we pulled in the sky cleared. We enjoyed the low numbers of visitors and the perfect views as we waited for the lights to turn on. In the cool air we didn't last ...

... Raynaud's set in! Verrry cold, I couldn't have stayed much longer if I wanted to. You also get the spray from the falls so after a couple of minutes we were getting pretty wet anyway. We then visited the horseshoe falls back on the Canadian side. You can get pretty close on this side too, but not like the American Falls. It hurtles over the sharp edges releasing water droplets into the air and shrouding the valley with a fine mist One fifth of all the fresh water in the world lies in the 4 upper Great Lakes; Erie, Michigan, ...

    ... come from Niagara Falls!!

We also did the Cave of the Winds. You really get wet and you are very, very close to the falls. One area is called the Hurricane Deck. When you go across this area the water is really flowing, close and the wind is something.

Looking forward to tomorrow night as we are going to the Canadian side of the falls and see the falls lit up!! Should be fantastic!!

Today was great!! Life is really good!!!
