... bOR38552MJA I'm guessing it won't be playing once I cross the border, eh? Joking aside, Vancouver looks like an amazing city, with a ton a do, tons of great food and culture and beautiful scenery. I don't have a super-planned itinerary, but more of an idea of things I could do. I'm not going to go sit on Kits Beach if it's pouring rain, so a lot of activities will be dependent on the weather. If it is down pouring, I might just drop $30 and visit the ...

End of the line - Chicago

Day 1: It is a long drive getting to Chicago. Again, what should have been a fairly easy ride up the good ole I55 North did not pan out the way we wanted. As we get closer to Chicago we see a sign saying there are major delays and to take an alternate route. We started to do that but saw that the traffic was free flowing so jumped back on the freeway. Bad choice. We slow to a stop and there are police on the freeway blocking the road. We are forced to detour through small ...

The cruise was excellent, the tour guide talked about all the different types of architecture present in the buildings, albeit briefly, as we travelled down Chicago river and onto Lake Michigan (via ...

... the huge inland Lake Michigan. The morning had turned out to be super sunny, warm and the sky was blue and cloudless. We had been graced with perfect weather. The lakes forshore was a long stepped concrete concourse so we found a comfortable level and rode along taking in the park and the lush, green park on the other side. We passed a few huge marinas with many large yachts and powerboats moored after a long summer of use. After about 40 minutes of riding we found a ...

... onto the edge for grim death. Thankfully, this time there were no hangers on (well apart from me hanging onto the wall) and I was able to get that over and done with. I can reassure you all that despite confronting my fear head on I'm still absolutely **** scared of heights. With that done it was back down to Quincy Loop station (via the super fast lift and not one but two souvenir shops).

I was soon back at Quincy station as the next stop on my tourist trip was the ...
