    The Seventh Day (Denver)

... It was really cold but we saw some squirrels. We came back had some leftovers for lunch and drove to the lake to do some ice fishing. We walked out on the ice, being careful not to slip. Then we sat on a bucket while Chris or Dad drilled holes in the ice in front of us. We set up our rods and fished. Every child was able to catch at least one ...

    The Fifth Day (Denver)

We woke up this morning to find a blanket of snow over everything outside. So we had some breakfast and went outside in the snow, we even got to walk on the frozen river. We walked through the wind and snow to the place where we were going tubing. What you do to tube is grab ...

Spent the day enjoying our campsite. I did some laundry. Manuel and Chuckie enjoyed the creek shore. Julian has a baseball game at 6pm which we attended. It was an exciting game as throughout the game the score was either tied or off by one run. We head to Linda's after the game. Chavo is working really late, but finally gets home. We sit and talk for a while, then head back to our RV. We make plans for the four of us to drive to Blackhawk tomorrow to celebrate Linda's ...

Just Take Them One At A time

... Denver neighborhood by neighborhood, with the help of a great publication I picked up at the Colorado Welcome Center. It’s the 2012 Visitor’s Guide, and it devotes twelve pages to the various neighborhoods of Denver, with the all-important highly detailed MAPS. And nicknames! There is LoDo (Lower Downtown, I get it); and RiNo (couldn’t figure that one out, it is River North); and even LoHi, which is a commercial area on the lower side of the Highlands. ...
