The day started off again with a lot of sunshine. We're slowly reaching vacation mode. It's getting more difficult to get up in the morning. We quickly agreed upon a beach day. We enjoyed Lovers Key two years ago, so we decided to head for that beach again. Little did we know that road construction was going on on Ft. Myers Beach. Today we did a little exploring of the area. Our first stop was Fisherman's Pier in Punta Gorda. To be honest, was not that impressed with it. From there we drove North on the Tamiami Trail (a 4 line busy highway) as I wanted to check out Englewood Beach. It's about 25 miles north and a very nice beach. Came back to the condo for lunch and then headed to the pool as it was 84 degrees and we needed a dip in the pool. ...

    ... games of Wizard!

And before it was all over, Mike's brother, Ray, and sister-in-law, Lou, spent a week at the end of April. Traveling to the popular mountain town of Boquete--though not by bus, as we usually do--gave them an opportunity to see another side of Panama including the beautiful, pastoral scenery. Having visitors gave us a respite from the grind of clearing out the boat and making it as beautiful as we could. We were ...
