First stop LAX with our flight to Salt Lake City (1hr 30) in Utah .... Then off to Atlanta, Georgia (3 hr flight with a 3hr stopover) and the final leg to Santiago Chile (9hrs). Wow, what a day/night but a good chance to catch up on sleep especially after the last 10 days!!! Also had a chance to brush up on my Spanish. Sorry, no photos ...

... angels that want to help hikers and he goes up and down Southern California talking with the trail angel community and getting supplies and this and that...I think it is astounding how much these people stay in contact with each other and are willing to commit so much of their time to helping hikers, even if nobody asked them to or even if no one thanks them...It gives me a lot to think about for the night and next morning ...

... the first half uphill at, at times, quite steep. There were a couple of routes to the museum and we inadvertently chose the one "less travelled" which involved a narrow track and climbing over fallen trees that blocked the path. ... it's not as simple as we all thought! We had to take a shuttle back to the airport, another shuttle to a carpark lot, another shuttle to the rental car then a taxi to the right place as the airport information desk gave us some wrong information!
