The plane from Greenville to Dallas was the smallest plane I have ever been on and for the first time in my life, I actually had to duck my head when walking down the aisle. … and another pretty good day. I made it to Asheville by about 12:30 and the first thing I did was visit the Blue Ridge Folk Art Centre. It’s along the Blue Ridge Parkway but only about a mile off the freeway and very close to Asheville. They have some very beautiful crafts to sell and some galleries filled with pieces by local artists along with information about the history of the centre. ...
... and went past Biltmore Village and the Estate....then on to downtown Asheville. It's quite hippy quaint....organic food places, some galleries, some Marley type areas, and a number of Blue Grass bus,era...quite good too! ... to the Parkway. Hwy 70 was very twisty but pretty and the Parkway continued with lots of curves, but the colors were changing and we stopped at a number of "Overlooks" and the views were beautiful....Forest everywhere. Inez wasn't feeling too well so we didn't do any of the hikes. We eventually arrived at the Pisgah Inn where we stopped for lunch...awesome view from the reastaurant ...
