      Dinner and a city tour.

It was a Monday evening and the weather was perfect (we've come to expect this) and we were amazed at the thousands(!) of people who were outdoors, walking, biking, skating, sailing, attending concerts, and generally enjoying their beautiful city. ... that is hard to explain. To be able to be free, learn new languages and submerge yourself in foreign cultures – it’s exhilarating!

I have already started selling things in order to be better prepared once it gets closer to departure time. Thus far, things that are gone: big screen, smaller tv in my room, book shelf and record player with stereo, stand and records. Still a few things left but not too ...

... under the weight of the rope walker. This is because the straight wire has such great mechanical advantage. But, having sagged only a small amount, the mechanical advantage decreases very quickly, the high wire stabilizes, and never deflects more than a few inches.
The intricacies of calculating the exact quantities involved in this relationship are fascinating, but largely pointless in this case once the basic relationship is understood. The trick to setting ...
