We were very impressed with the cliff top views and we watched people surfing on some very large waves for a while. The main beach was also gorgeous. We definitely could have spent longer in Gracetown and would like to be there in some warmer weather.

Our next stop was Yallingup. Mel had earlier discovered some of the works by John Miller, a local artist who makes jewellery (he ...

There are now literally thousands of gnomes from all over Australia at the site!!

... A clue was given to us yesterday by our wine tour guide, Andrew. He was saying that, in the past, a big landowner named Bussell had a wife called Margaret. The town was originally called something else but Mr. Bussell changed that and also had enough muscle to get the region named after the main town as well. This must have earned him a lot of brownie points with the Mrs. I hope he spent them wisely, and ...

... We quickly showered and went up the road for a great lunch at surf-orientated Caves Hotel, where we had beautiful burgers and schnitzels – Yum! It was a great old hotel and nice and cool inside, as it was really warming up outside for the first time (and lots of flies!), so we really enjoyed our lunch in the beautiful cool old dining room.

We returned to Busselton around 4pm, and went grocery shopping in preparation ...
