      ... beside the ocean. It was quite an unexpected site, but amazing. Some say that Aboriginals avoid the Pinnacles. They think they’re fossilised ghosts, a view which might come from the open landscape which is exposed to wind and provides no place to rest. However, there must have been some Aboriginal occupation as artefacts have been found which are at least 6,000 years old.
