... warning, the highlight were the boiling hot pools themselves. The water was so hot that it stopped anything growing meaning it was crystal clear. These pools really would by idyllic, if unlike me, you could tolerate the smell. There had been a number of 'Kiwisms' we had picked up from our friends in Africa. ... there yet and really wanted to see what the fuss was about. We stopped off by the lake to try and find a good place for lunch, except the guys then got excited about what they could hire. They tried to convince me and Shannon to let the hire a boat that they could drive around the lake, whilst we sat on the floor of the boat... With their driving, no rather not. ... down as some dolphins had been spotted. Once we were travelling at a more reasonable speed the dolphins, about 30 of them, started to play in the bow wave. Incredible when you do get to see any animals in the wild and these were enjoying themselves. Then as quick as they arrived they got fed up playing and just disappeared.
