... the pass which is a mountain road with switchbacks and steep drops, then eventually you end up in Aspen.
We left around 10 am and started the drive...even before the pass it was so beautiful with views of mountains, lakes, and all different coloured leaves on the trees. A lot of trees have started to lose their leaves so probably was much more colourful a few weeks ago.
... there's always a next time! They also have lots of art work/canvases etc on the walls of the local area which are just amazing!
Afterwards we went to Walmart to get a big fan as the screen on our windows don't allow much breeze in and it can get pretty hot!
Darren also got a little sketch book as I keep telling him how good he is at drawing but he doesn't' think so....now he has a sketch book he can practice more and see how good he really ...
... in the 60's but internet connection or even phone connection are not always working so by the time we finished the driving, the travel pod and organised the following day adventures my sleepy head cannot cope always with answering emails.

Our meander continued as we followed a series of scenic byways that took past several of Colorado's "fourteeners," the mountains that climb above 14,000-feet. Jack had prepared a travel binder filled with essential travel information: Best Campgrounds of Colorado, Scenic Byways (25!), Festivals and Special Events, and Wineries.

After our adventure it was unanimously decided to have a drink at the afore-mentioned Jerome Hotel in The J Bar.
