The motel lies directly at the main street. Quiet, clean, no smoking rooms. Nice, helpful manager. In 3 min. can you reach a dollar market. No freezer or microwave inside.

    ... quick sandwich.

On the plane from Dallas to Albuquerque we sat behind a tall man with shoulder length hair that looked like a bird might have a nest in there. He had bright red glasses and a nose, that when he blew it, which was often, sounded like a fog horn sounding in the night. The first time he did it my mom and I looked around, wondering if the plane was going down. With each new blow, we were overcome ...

... After that I found my way to the Biltmore Estate. It’s a huge tourist attraction just outside of Asheville, built by George W. Vanderbilt starting in 1889. It took 6 years to complete. The place is gynormous. You have to drive about 5 km past the entrance before you even get to the house (it’s an 8000 acre property) and then it’s about another 10 kms to get back to the exit. I only visited ...

We found the French and Swiss people to be kind and friendly, as has been true in the other countries we have visited. On the metro, on the street, in restaurants, time and time again strangers who saw us studying the map or looking lost, came to offer guidance. When I travel, especially somewhere that English is not always spoken, this ...

http://trekpouch.com I met with the owner last night, and will be doing gear testing for the Trek Pouch. We installed the Trek Pouch on both my poles this morning (about a 2 minute process!), I am looking forward to having these on my journey. Such a simple, yet useful idea! A big thanks to the other companies I am talking with currently - I am looking forward to working out the small details, so we can test out, and spread the word about these ...

... Ambassador to Hot Springs, it was my duty, of course, but more importantly, I just wanted to help – I love the people in this area, I love the mission of Trailfest, and I certainly am passionate about the Appalachian Trail.

This year's Trailfest was, in short, wonderful. More than 100 thru-hikers were in town for the festival, which set a new record! Community attendance was also great. All proceeds from the event went to the Hot Springs ...
