After getting off the ferry we searched for a rest stop nearby. First time washing up in a truck stop bathroom, forgot a towel so had to try and maneuver drying my face off with the air dryer. Yeahh... just thank god no one walked in. First night sleeping in the big booty mama. We cut out foam mats to fit the windows and folded a blanket over the front seats to ...

3 - We were good little consumers and helped stimulate the economy of Lake Placid a little:)We walked around the main street of Lake Placid and popped into various shops, perusing their wares, playing with kids' toys, me touching every soft-looking article of clothing, and really just passing the time.

I grew up off of cheapy high fructose corn syrupy syrup, so I know none of this stuff; however, Ben is quite the connoisseur of maple syrup and he said that syrup from NH is better than from NY. NH syrup is DELICIOIUS, but I have not yet tasted NY syrup to have an opinion, but ...

After staying in some dirty, smelly motels along our route so far we checked AirBnB to see if there was anything a little nicer in the Adirondacks for some time away from Interstate roads. We were heading towards Point O Pines, Rachael's camp that I had heard so much about for the past 4 years, and then deeper into the Adirondack state ...

      Summary

Drove 534 miles in a tad under 10 hours.

      Highlights

Pretty slim for the highlights reel on a drive this long. We got away around 11 am after enjoying the Cleveland IPA's just a little too much.

Luckily the weather was perfect and the road easy. Once we got out of town our iPhone map advised that had 346 miles on the same road, a record for the trip I believe.
