HAPPY NEW YEAR - WELCOME 2014!!
We left the beautiful cabin in Pine Forest on New Years day and headed home via the quirky little Bavarian themed town - Leavenworth. To escape the FREEZING cold we found refuge in a Bavarian café for lunch to enjoy warm cider, schnitzel, sausage and sauerkraut. Delicious!
A quick stop to purchase a Pork Knuckle and some chocolate coated pretzels and then back on the road - Seattle bound.

... mountains. The town now holds several large festivals throughout the year, from May Day to Octoberfest (obviously.) After mistakingly taking the "scenic" route, we made it to town by early afternoon and ate lunch at Sandy's Waffle & Dinner Haus.
