    ... about today's ride and arrived at the hotel at about 330pm.

    The other three in my group got to the hotel safely about an hour later than me.

    Our town tonight Lac La Biche has a literal meaning of Lake of the *****. I couldnt find the origins of the name except it started as a trading post in about 1758.

    Fairly quiet meal in the local steakhouse tonight and an early to bed.

    ... we can not see him anywhere. And I am going to count it.
    But we do catch sight of a MUSKRAT swimming across the bay. He dives now and then, for what I can't know. And there is another one lolling in the shallow water not two metres from the boardwalk.
    At least three RED-NECKED GREBES call from this quiet bay. We follow the boardwalk to the point to see the full expanse of Lake Astotin. From this vantage point ...

    We are having a great holiday. We arrivied in Cairns on Nov. 26th and have been very busy ever since.
    First activity was a 2 night 3 day live aboard on the Great Barrier Reef. It was amazing - saw lots of different kinds of very colorful fish and coral. Saw sharks, baracudas, and turtles. When they turned the lights on at night, the water came alive with small to large fish. It was really something to see.
