After checking into our hotel and doing our laundry, Ron, Scott, and I walked down to the lake shore. There are 3 light houses and a cool bridge all in one location, along with some nice places to eat.My feet were really tired when we got back, but it looks like I will have another 10,000 step day today.

You need to watch this movie to see how very long this ship is as it comes through the channel.

We have ended the evening in a Walmart parking lot in Superior, WI.

Tomorrow we head for Seagull Outfitters where we will camp in the parking lot for the night and then head out on our 4 night 5 day canoe trip!

PS The Blue Beagle is now called the BUG SLAYER!!! (There are thousands of bugs plastered to the front!)

We also stopped in the small city of Marquette to get some victuals. It was a pleasant surprise… with some lovely gentrified 19th C buildings and brick industrial sites. It is the unofficial capital of Michigan’s U.P.
