    It was with great anticipation that the 3 of us departed Samford at 08:00 with clear skies and warm weather. Having been given permission and blessings from our respective spouses, we ventured south on a 2 week motorbike trip to Victoria.

    ... of horse country as well the town of Scone. Onto wet, slippery gravel roads as we come to the Liverpool Plains and cattle country. Lots of dips as we cross over flood plains along Swinging Bridges Road.

    Morning tea put on by the Blackville PS where Variety donated $1,500 to educational needs. The school has 6 kids but had started the year with only 2 and next year will increase to 9. A heap of gifts and lollies ...

    Athalie wanted to travel south along coast while David's preference was for the inland route. He was driving so we headed north to Grafton and then west on the Gwyder Highway. It was a very quiet and pretty drive to Glen Innes. I mean if you are a little reluctant to leave the warmth of the north coast why wouldn't you continue north before going south??
    Oh well, off with the shorts and on with the cami and trackies.

    ... equals 40C, and so on. To get to our official summertime high temperature, add nine degrees to 104F to get the equivalent of 44.5C (roughly) . . . 113F. Torrid and horrid rhyme for a reason.

    ... of R+R before I have to get going (and maybe have some more practice time with Neville - for thouse of you who don't know, Neville is my puppet, photos to come).

    Oh and I threw in a few photos taken in Walcha, almost at Armidale. There was some road resurfacing on the Mountain so I took some photos of my car almost two toned by the red dirt. Very fun, I felt very country.

    That's all for now, can't spend my whole time on the computer ;)
