It was with great anticipation that the 3 of us departed Samford at 08:00 with clear skies and warm weather. Having been given permission and blessings from our respective spouses, we ventured south on a 2 week motorbike trip to Victoria.

Even though the blog says Armidale, that is not quite where we are at this point. We still haven't made it there ! First thing we went up the GDR, which was not a traumatic experience at all since we waited for the morning traffic to subside first. It was slow though, the range road was about 14 km and windy stuff, not like the new improved Toowoomba Range at all ! Talking to people we ...

It is very cold here and we are expecting -1 degree tonight. 10 degrees maximum today. Most trees have lost their leaves but there are still some of the magnificent red ones in all their glory. Love this place. ...

... when the east coast is nearly double that!!

The 2 days spent in Armidale were very relaxing. We could have ventured out into the New England National Park and Cathedral Rock which was on unsealed roads but just having the tyres and windscreen replaced we thought we would give it a miss this time.

      Definitely a place to revisit.

We had a lovely roast pork dinner at the Services Club!!
