    Hi friends and family,

It's hard to believe that we leave in two weeks! We've started packing, sorting, and rejecting various outfits, realizing that we have to fit everything for 2-1/2 months into one suitcase and one carry on - each! I think this is the biggest stress ...

To take our minds off packing, we joined some friends ...

... Adventure (the 'sister' theme park to DL and adjacent to it), because the wiz-bang rides are not really my thing. However, it is not looking promising.... We also sampled the much talked about Cheesecake Factory here in Anaheim today, and I have to say, impressive. A vast menu, huge servings and great quality. The service here is impeccable - snooty Australian waiting staff could learn a thing or two. They also let you take 'a bag home', which is useful, as ...

    ... outfits.

Cool evenings were spent on the deck under the fuzzy blanket with Diesel sat between us, hanging her head over my legs listening to the faint booms of fireworks from Disneyland in between tracks from Creedence Clearwater Revival or Led Zeppelin. We discussed world politics or watched the hummingbirds on the honey feeders.

The occasional squirrel, possum or skunk visiting the garden was seen off by either Diesel's bark or Steve’s ...
