      ... really loved these small towns which showed care or civic pride with hanging baskets in the streets, and nicely tended gardens in the majority of places.

      Then we came to Ithaca. It wasn't built to have so much traffic going through it, so we got diverted through the country side to eventually meet the highway.
      Paul was getting really worried, I thought it a hoot!

      Next stop New Jersey.

      ... saw a huge cloud similar to a mushroom cloud, with lightening and the sun setting behind it. looked impressive. got back to camp, and discovered the storm flooded camp again, and it had stopped by the time we got back.

      4th july: independence day! - 6:00am wake up after a night spent in my swim shorts, then try to wrestle everyone into the lake (brits are thrown into the lake) then a normal day until after dinner - a skit from every country that both campers ...

      • The 4th celebrations were canceled and there were flash flood warnings so I decided to leave Maine a day early.

      We only had 5 days here but...WOW! Even though we had some incredible storms, we had a few nice days & packed them in seeing some of this area of New York which included Cooperstown & the Baseball Hall of Fame plus a 225 mile drive through the Catskill Mountains which included a 5 mile hike ...

      ... cant turn down the opportunity for all you can eat. basically im going to come back fat.

      on wednesday after a normal routine of meetings and moving wood & machinery without PPE, it was sports day. i played baseball and the Americans are very passionate about that. there was also a deer that ran past the field. there was other sports too, like dodgeball etc.
      that night we went to the canteen where they serve very good pizza from a guy named Luigi ...
