We arrived this evening and checked into our really nice hotel. We then went back out to see if the visitor center was still open. It wasn't, so we went to check out a lighthouse, an old furnace at the Hiawatha National Forest, and a small town called Christmas. ... Wes got a good coffee - he has to ask for a double shot Americano. I had a milk shake made with caramel explosion icecream - more like a thick shake and had little cups of caramel filled chocolates. Thank goodness it was made with 2% milk !!!!
Went for a drive to Christmas which is just a little spot on the highway with a few shops that did not look at all appealing.
Found the ruins of the Bay Furnace where they used to smelt iron.
