After a flight from Singapore, where the temperature the day before was 37 degrees, we landed just as the sun was coming up, to a temperature of 9 degrees, and it was freezing! After that debacle, we hopped on another tram, (a less touristy one) and we traveled out to the Olympic Park and Cricket ground.
We saw a rugby team practicing in the park next to the Rugby stadium, so I got a lot of stalker pictures of really buff men wearing short shorts to add to my Australia album.

... weeks. BUT it matters not. :-) there will be no cooking or cleaning for the next 7 weeks, except for a bit of washing along the way. Today I went to Mass at 9 am and was given a very public Blessing by the new Priest who announced to a very full church of school children from the local catholic schools that I was off to walk 900 kms doing the Camino. You could hear the children suck the air out of the church as they gasped. Probably wondering why I don't just get the bus. ...
... br> I flew back to Launceston Monday evening. I arrived to a torrential down pour. It was some of my scariest moments of driving ever. It was pitch black and gushing rain. I had to go under 70km/hour on the highway because the wipers couldn't move fast enough to give me a clear view if I went faster. I was nearly at the point of pulling over and staying in a small town when the weather cleared a bit. I made it back to Burnie safe and sound and recharged for another week in Tasmania.
