    After a pretty relaxing flight, we caught a shuttle bus to our accomodation. We noticed straight away there was a significant temperature drop from Alice Springs - we'd have to get our warm coats out and finally buy some winter shoes. Once we checked in at our hotel (which weirdly controlled all the air-con/heating for each room from the front desk) we set out for dinner. We found a Mexican not too far away so headed in.     ... with signs encouraging you to "walk on the grass and enjoy the park"; Government House is in the center of the gardens, but unfortunately there is no access to the grounds, as the Governor and his family live on-site. We also found a spot to buy skewers of four 'crumbed' scallops for $2.95, so that helped fill the gap until dinner time!
