... we had lunch at the diner across the car park. We found that every Wednesday night is bike night in Beale Street with around 500 bikes taking over the street. Beale Street is only 2-3 blocks and it is barricaded off and only bikes can enter. There is literally thousands of people in the street, every second shop is a bar/restaurant with bands and singers doing their stuff, working for tips only. There is a constant rumble of bikes along side the thumping ...

... the street to the rest of the museum...which is made up of 5 exhibits and includes a tour of his private jet, "The Lisa Marie" and his favorite cars. One of the museum buildings was filled with all his gold records, and famous outfits that he wore at his concerts...including the "Eagle Suit" of my personal favorites. ... I had chills running down my spine and it was almost emotional. Didn't have a cry but. The last part of the mansion tour was the Meditation Garden where Elvis, his mother Gladys, his father Vernon and grandmother Minnie Mae Hood Presley lie buried. This was the saddest part of the tour, not because it is Elvis's final resting place but because it is donned with plastic flower bouquets. Very tacky.
