... games someone sure is losing out on missed revenue....Tom said that for the 15 home games per year the town couldn't afford to add further seating and that the triple A teams only bring in 500 people per game...So although it's a nice stadium..it is one of the smaller ones.
March 23....picked up our friends Rachelle and Dave from the airport in Tampa...making plans for the week with them. ...

... like oranges and grapefruit. They have great short films and displays worth checking out.
Oddly enough you don't see much transit activity anywhere down here...seems to be very much a car culture with everyone driving and very little carpooling it seems..
There are many restaurants around the few blocks and we chose to eat dinner at Thai Thani....Pad Thai ,spring rolls and an peppered steak stir fry filled the void! ...

... the waterfront/shops. Denise brought fudge. This towns claim to fame is sponges. It is known as the sponge capital of the world and apparently provides 70% of the sponges sold around the world. We did a short boat tour and got the history of sponge diving and experienced how they are harvested.

... the 12 day fair, so the horses had already left. There was an exotic animal zoo with llamas, alpacas, a bear, and a giraffe. My favorite was a large building dedicated to judged fine arts, arts and crafts, aquariums, and botanicals.

Greg and I watched two shows: 'Kachunga and the Alligator' and 'Hollywood Racing Pigs'. Each show lasted about 30 minutes, which was long enough.

But the largest area was taken up by the midway. So many rides, ...
