... made change for a patron, did a few other tasks, and then put my burger on the grill, never once washing his hands or donning plastic gloves. I was so hungry by the time the garbage dump of a meal came to me that I plowed through the onions and chili and soggy bread like a champ. I did, however, tell Bud that I thought it would be prudent to stop for the night at a full facility rest area. It was a good day.

mark explained we were form a place where this was normal and no problem but he was having none of it.

detention over off we set.

after lakes more mountains and don onto flooded plain, very spectacular.

lost following the super google maps again and eventually headed for yesemeti national park

fuel was a big problem on this stretch and stayed at Redding.

... 500 gallons a day of water! Also, the rapid decrease in temperature. It went from 80 degrees in southern Oregon down to 60 in about an hour as we headed into California and the Redwoods.

After driving east from the Redwoods into Redding, CA, on some very twisting and winding roads, this song came on the radio at the perfect time: Everyday is a Winding Road by Sheryl Crow

We will be embarking on our journey in t-6 hours! I am so excited to be going on a road trip with one of my best friends. I can't wait to see what sort of crazy shena****ns we get ourselves into. Our bags are packed and we are equipped; kindly by our fathers; with bear mace, regular mace, a baseball bat and a taser.
