... City Beach' is a few acres of sand and water which makes a good playground for families and a nice escape for the business segment.
Next week I continue heading north (read: warmer and more tropical). There are a few adventure travel destinations along the route that I plan to partake in, including a canoe trip in the Australian everglade, a few days on an island paradise, and a finale at the Great Barrier Reef. ... life story :) they don't wanna here too much though.
Anyway until now I haven't done too much, since my school starts at monday. I've mostly been living a cat's life - eating, sleeping..hmm and eating and sleeping hehe. And doing stuff with the family, they really are awesome! and yesterday their grandchildren came for a visit, and they were lovely! today I'm gonna try to get something useful done...but hmm. I'm feeling pretty lazy though :) well I'll wright again soon. Ha det bra!

Well all is in fine shape all the airfares have been booked etc tickets have been received so now its the final week before we launch again on another fantastic holiday. Nancy's cousin and her husband are coming over from New Zealand to cat sit for us as the last house sitter was not the best result. Just the packing to do and that's being sorted as i speak.

... Island, affectionately called Straddie, was a train and ferry ride from Brisbane, and popular for sand dunes, hiking and whale watching. We'd heard recommendations from locals and tourists alike to check out some of the sand islands of the East Coast, so we headed there for an overnight trip. So kristy and i got packed up... all ready for Carlas first holiday... albeit two days!
Headed to Brisvagas, had a lovely indian dinner, took a foto under the mock Eiffel tower and hit the town. Brisbane + hot boys is a fallacy. My hopes were high after seeing a hot steward on the flight over, however this diminished once we'd hit the clubs.

Brisbane Farewell Chilling with great company, great food, great drinks = great time. Of course how can we not forget the most important addition ... Wii!!! Rayman Rabbids TV Party. Quite simple the best game EVER!!! A big thank you to my parents for hosting the place, and also for the awesome food. We still don't know the secret ingredient of the bolognase! Also thank you to everyone who came. Was great to catchup prior to just running away. You will all be missed.

... city in my opinion. We went for a city stroll and some food! I've now arrived at the Gold Coast, aka surfers paradise, for the next couple of days! It has a very commercialised feel; lots of skyscrappers, shops, amusement parks, and plenty of good nightlife to choose from! Right I'm just out with the tour group for dinner, then off to see what nightlife the Gold Coast has to offer! Can't wait!!
