... saw at least 4 people stack it!! Very nerve wracking but super proud we did it and Delicate Arch was just beautiful and we met some nice people on the way too. Super stoked to have conquered a hike classed as strenuous, and have seen a beautiful American icon without the crowds. We have found a hotel in Moab for the night and will go back to Arches tomorrow for the easy hikes, not the ones involving ice ledges on cliffs!!!! You know it's been a big day when Tom is in bed at ...

    • Dinner was $12.47 because we both got foot-longs.
    • Both of us used the restroom and we were on the road again.
    • We decided to fill the gas tank so that we didn't need to get gas on the next trip.

... I heard many recommendations from travelers that Delicate Arch is the best place to watch the sunset. So I made my way through the park about 12 miles in and found the trailhead for the hike there. It was an uphill 1.5 mile climb in high 90 degree heat, which was well over 100 radiating off the rocks. I was drenched from head to toe by the time I made it to the top. The site that laid before me was incredible. It is hard to believe these rock formations ...

Up early, breakfast at 7:20, bags gone just after 8, on the bus by 9:00, that was the order for this morning ... We left Denver and headed west along I70, climbing up to just over 11,000ft and under the continental divide through the Eisenhower tunnel. We dropped down into Vail for our lunch break, just so happened to be a farmers market in town today, so we explored the market and had a bit of ...
