Got up early and went to Athabasca Falls. Arrived about 8 before the hoardes arrived so had time to look without fighting for space. Amazing falls made even better by the morning sun glistening off the top of the falls. Great rainbows produced by the spray making for some great photo opportunities. Very impressive falls in a …

After having breakfast in Jasper at Smitty we headed out towards Valemont and stopped at the Gathering Place our favorite coffee shop and grabbed some great coffee and the pups had a great run. Off we set for Clearwater and to stay at the KOA as we had enough points to get a free nights stay and I was going to use it up as we probably would not be joining the KOA membership next year. What style. Crossing over into British ...

... Highly recommended if you're in the Clearwater area. Tomorrow is chore day, since I'll be arriving into Vancouver on Saturday and storing my home on wheels for a bit. This will likely be the last of my blogs for a while since I'll just be visiting with family and friends in the lower mainland and Vancouver Island for a couple of weeks. Then Sept 8th I'm taking a vacation from my vacation and letting someone else plan my ...

Last night we went for a meal in town and were recommended to go to Dutch Lake today to see the terrapins and go for a swim. Luckily when we woke up it was a sunny day and so off to the lake we went, via the supermarket so we could buy a picnic. The lake was another beautiful watery place to chill. It was only small by Canadian standards but never the less it was well used and had a pontoon stretching out where we could jump into the water and another one just floating in ...
