Mitch and I left for Crooked Creek Parking parking lot, Yellowwood State Forest, after work to drop my car off at the end of the trail, well 2 miles shy of the end. We got to Morgan-Monroe State Forest around 8:00 PM and setup camp at the campground. We were the only campers that night and was fortunately the only night we had rain.

There were no detours today but today was probably the worst hiking day due to all the roads and my knee and foot hurting. We, Mitch didn't move from his sleeping bag until 7:30 AM, got up at 7:00 AM today but got a late start at around 8:45 AM. The weather was still a bit cold at 40

We stopped about 4 miles in to sync up with Ryan. We had quite a bit of road/gravel road ...

... shelter was very nice and allowed us to dry off the tent from the night before. There was plenty of room for 8+ people but found ourselves being the only ones there that night. This was the only night we had a camp fire, about 4 hours worth. Pretty sweet setup.

      Lost in time and space

Apparently Australia is a long way away. Who knew?

I left my home in Bloomington a little before 10am on Friday morning. We stopped by my parents house to consolidate, had a quick lunch, and left the Indianapolis airport at about 2pm. Anticipated arrival time in Australia is 9:15am on Sunday. That's right. Saturday doesn't exist. Mind you, there is a 16 hour time difference... but still.

      Unfortunately ...
