Happy Labor Day People (though we will make the argument that we labored more yesterday)
today is Waterfall challenge #2. This one was Grotto falls and only 3~ish miles and supposedly not so uphill. (This being a waterfall I was not going to be fooled by the promise of 'no' uphill...)
We carried a lighter load today (smart move #1) and brought along our water shoes ...

How wrong was I. This was by far the hardest hike me and Leslie had ever done. I think it might have been the hardest thing i have ever done. The 4 miles to the falls was just one long uphill climb, we were at 3000 feet so the air was thin and seemed to be in short supply. Two miles in me and Les looked like we had been caught in a rain storm (Two sweaty cats). All the while M and L appeared to be skipping along without ...
... at the office where they informed us that our Annual Pass did not actually give us 1/2 off the camping so we had to pony up the last $30. One day this $80 annual pass will come in handy....maybe.
We were able to set our tent up before Marc and Louise arrived thus sparing us the embarrassment of the experts judging out skills first hand.
