      ... really likely that you are suddenly surrounded by 30 snorkelers at once (I have no idea why that shouldn’t disturb the manatees). The manatees, however, took the crowds more relaxed than we did. When we arrived in the lagoon, the number of other people was still okay, but a few minutes later, it was so crowded that we couldn’t wait to escape (the best option to avoid the crowds would probably be to come here with your own kayak at 6 clock in the morning.       ... chased our shadows. It was sunny and hot!

      Eventually the parade began. It was supposed to have over fifty entries and lasted nearly an hour. Of course the usual Villages clubs were there - the Cheerleaders, the Belly Dancers, the Shriners, the Model Ford A golf cart club, the Sailing club, the clowns, et cetera.       ... residents. While they offer it every month this is the first I have been able to attend. There were representatives of the Villagers Homeowners Association, the Sumter Sheriff's Office, the Master Gardeners, the libraries, local government, the Lifelong Learning College etc. I took Mum on some my Favourite golf cart rides and we checked out a couple of Rec Centres which are already decorated for Christmas.
