    ... of each family for their child, eg, "To be an awesome team player ... never give up ... and try your best". Lana (one of the teachers) explains that these aspirations are at the core of their planning. Just as we are about to leave the centre a couple of the toddlers come past and hug Jean, and she smiles and says "I delivered most of these children". What a vision she had, and she is still very much an integral part of the services daily life and the lives of these families!

    ... longer than me so I presumed she would take charge but she didn't and I didn't want to. Apparently the farmer is really fussy. But as I do I naturally took charge and got things going. But Marcel soon takes charge when she knows she doesn't have to take responsibility. Poor ruby is still very much a learner, so we put her in the middle so we could help her, but Marcel decided she was going to rousie for two shearers and not help Ruby but just take over.     ... s a bit of commotion over who is with who. Nobody wants Hayley in their gang, so she's to'd and fro'd from van to van, until Trish says "no just Elaine and Mahalia with me, your with Jonette!" So off she goes. There's so much drama with rousies! We get to the same shed as the other day. Dennis Bells raised board. We have a new shearer today, Jury. He looks quite young and he takes Dwayne's stand, which is controversial in the sheds; as the ganger is usually on stand 1 ...

    ... up each fleece as the shearer finishes. One rousie on broom; makes sure the bellies are picked up and the board is clean. One rousie on table; skirting the fleece and rolling it up to put in the press. We change every half hour to make it less boring and to have a break as being on table is less pressure. After about an hour; another gang turns up to help as we only had Joe and Hef shearing. There are three shearers in the gang and three rousies. Two shearers go on ...

    ... for 2 nights where we will be catching up with our Canoe Polo friends Emely Laheye, Bjorn Pauwels and their wee lad Millou and then its onto Paris (well just out of it because we don't want to drive in Paris) via the Somme.
    After 2 nights near Paris we are off to the D-D beaches in Normandy. Our research there is to find out the answer to Our Mike's question: Can you swim there or are they memorial beaches?
