We started our morning with a very nice breakfast that included fresh homemade banana bread and blueberry muffins. We knew we had a very busy day and more than likely would be late in getting into St. John as we followed highway 1 all the way up the coast to the Canadian border. We decided to leave a little earlier than normal and were off at 8: …

Today was a relaxing day. We started the day by going to the Lobsterfest for breakfast. They were having all you can eat blueberry pancakes and sausage for $6.00. It was a beautiful morning and the sun was shining in the harbor while we ate. It was a great way to start the day. We expected a big crowd at breakfast, but that wasn’t the case.
We stopped at the grocery store on the way back and picked up a ...

We left the campground at 8:15. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. It was one of the worst places we have stayed in all of our travels. They had a DJ playing at the pool until 10:15 last night and it was so loud I don't know they expected anyone to sleep. The place was dirty and trashy. We would have been better off in a Walmart packing lot. What really ...

... yesterday. We liked that. After the usual breakfast, we did our usual Lane Island walk. Round trip I think was about 2 or 3 miles. The sun came out while we were walking and it immediately got quite warm. It was about noon time when we came back to the hotel. We then again walked to the red truck Greet's Eats and brought back lobster rolls and fancy fries. I got a crab roll in addition. Last day's pig-out :-)

After lunch, we sat in the room and relaxed for a while. ...

... It's closed Monday through Wednesday, so today was the first day we got to have it, and I had been looking forward to it. There was a line and the order took a while to get ready. But the food indeed lived up to its reputation. The lobster rolls had just the right amount of mayonnaise, and the lobster was very fresh. We also ordered the "fancy fries" which had extra spices. We brought them back to the motel and enjoyed our lunch. Tomorrow we will go again.
