... to get into some shops!!!!!......

Chinese New Year was an exciting time to be in Hong Kong, there did seem to be some confusion as to the year: sheep, goat, ram - take your pick! The parade was a little disappointing in that the floats were a little ho-hum and the route was really badly organised so spectators were not overly considered. There are large electronic tv/billboards but no-one had thought to set up a live feed to them so us people ...

... sure you have a place to stay and hopefully a host that will respond. I had his phonenumber so I called, but again of course, no answer. And that's from when I started to get really stressed. What to do if I get no reply? Go to a hostel and ask for a room? Hmm.. not what I'd been waiting for. We would have loved to have found a coffee shop to sit and watch the world go by but life is different here and they are few and far between. It was sad to have to go and pack up our gear to head back to the airport - we love Hong Kong - so much more to explore! Highly recommend Harbour Grand Hotel and upgrading to the Club .... See Patrick he is a ...

We flew Cathay Pacific on an old Boeing 747 which was comfortable but very creaky and noisy. An uneventful flight i.e. Brad's flying skills were not required due a kamakazi pilot. He had a cute baby next to him and I ended up with an old Chinese lady who ...

Hong Kong is exciting, fascinating, peculiar, bewildering and exotic, at least we think so and I hope our blogs reflect that. However, in the rain it is a lot like Wales, cold and wet, but with more lights :). However the clever weather people have managed to make what would be called a miserable, cold and wet day back home sound exotic. How could they possibly have managed that I hear you ask, well.......

We are apparently in the middle of a ...
