We got some rest last night and continued on today. We're back to naps, hiding all the breakables, and trying to distract the little guy as would any parent of a two year old. It looks like he is having a lot of fun. We feel lucky that, at the moment, he seems to be adjusting well to his new family. We are so happy to finally be together.

A local man translates where we want to go to the driver, very kind amd tells us to only pay the meter ...

Nanning has an International Airport and two railway stations. One of them, a huge, new station with a high-speed rail line ...

... tables, giving a 'thumbs up' to rice and vegetables and 'thumbs down' to chicken feet, and squid.

No matter how many people waved the menu under our nose and shouted in Chinese we still didn't understand. Eventually, after K shook her arm horizontally while making a frying sound and repointing at the ingredients we finally got some veggie fried rice.

The following morning we were whisked off at 200 Kph plus to Guilin and the start of our Chinese ...
