Wow what a day! Yesterday we drove back from the Mt LuShan and on the way passed this massive religious statute of Buddha - The Golden Buddha. Its the largest outdoor statute of Buddha in the world at over 81m high. We climbed the stairs to the half way point, and got a great view of the valley below.
Got back to Nanchang around lunch time, and then went to the Business Centre of the hotel to prepare ...
Flew out of Chengdu this morning, and arrived in Nanchang. At least here there is a bit of blue sky, although the smog is still incredibly thick - the Chinese refer to it as haze, rather than smog!!!

We woke up early in the morning in order to drive out to the ancient villages of Anyi county. By doing this, we missed the crowds and also, I caught my train home right on time.
This is an area of the province where they grow rapeseed plants, same as in Saskatchewan. Leona was surprised that I had seen them before. Lots of people would stop on the side of the road and take pictures in the fields.
