... from the airport, and let themselves in with the barely-hidden key, so were waiting at home for me after work.

On Thu morning Don wanted to go out for breakfast and Carol wanted to go to the little village of Zhongcunzhen that we had visited last time (where they were stared at the whole time they ate lunch!)

So off we headed, walking, since the temp has now decreased to very pleasant mid-high 20's. This time we walked ...

    ... light show at night.

Kyoto is the ancient capital of Japan and a long history with the samurai and Shogun which kept the country isolated until the 1860s. It's also known for its geisha, or geikos, as the ladies are proudly called here. Tim was quick enough to get a picture of one during our walking tour one evening. Spent the morning exploring Yuexiu Park were the locals were exercising, relaxing, play games, singing etc.

I thought I'd go to the airport via subway. It was so easy and cost only a couple of dollars.

Chinese Parks have a unique feel about them. Liuhua Park is in the middle of Guangzhou and is like an oasis. The park is quite picturesque set around a series of lakes with calming music being played thru out, but it is activities of the locals that is very fascinating. Local were dancing, exercising, playing games, singing etc. A common game being played is 4 or 5 people keeping a weighted shuttle cock with their feet. Ladies exercise by swinging arms ...

... She even remarkably walked to the toilet.

I had an interesting taxi ride with confusion over the destination, fare, being short changed but I got to the hotel.

It so happened the hotel had a floor with a massage centre, I was keen on a massage but was concerned I may fall asleep, I need not have. I have had hard massages before but none like this. I was pummelled and trampled on, it was brutal, but after I felt good, maybe it was because the pummelling had ended.
