    ... shell and closer to the audience in order to stop the sound from becoming too boomy. With plenty of time to rehearse this afternoon we felt comfortable by performance time and did the best concert of the tour to date.

    We met the NZ Consulate General briefly after the concert and she spoke very kindly of our performance and was clearly proud to have representatives of New Zealand in her adopted city.

    We were picked up at the station by the Guangzhou Opera House Coach – clearly we’re important ;) – and arrived at the fabulous Donlord Hotel where we will spend 2 nights. Most
    of the band headed out exploring. We haven’t had many opportunities to shop and sightsee so this was a great opportunity to do so.

    While today is a day off for the band, it’s not the case for the Maori group. ...

    active, the better.

    Other notes worth mentioning, an observation I’ve made is
    the class itself is not so bad. The actual act of teaching is quite frankly
    easy. The hardest part I find is preparation. Granted, good preparation goes a
    long way. But coming up with games and songs to fill class time can get
    tiresome. In all, a good lesson to come away with.

    ... first week alone, I’ve eaten more greens here than I have this remaining past year. Additionally, it is customary plenty of noodles to be served at each sitting along with strange meats I have no way of citing due to the fact I’ve never seen such cuts before.     ... Nanhai Primary Experimental School, is a private school, and one of the nicest in all of Foshan. There are four to five main buildings on campus, one of which is a dorm, and they are architecturally set up so that the space between them make for an inviting, open concept space. The only qualm I’d have, is the track is about half the size back home. By default, the river walk will have to do. As a bit of compensation, the school does provide me with three free meals a day. ...
