... apartment style accommodation on the 31st floor. The lobby and pool area was located on the 15th floor. Once we checked in we went to the local 7/11 for a well earned beer of Tsingtao and polished it off after a dip in the hotel pool. Although we were on the 15th floor swimming around it felt like we were on the ground floor because of how many other floors were still above us. We also discovered that in China we might be able to reach Olympic swim team level (as long as they ...

... seeing some of the sights, and certainly the size, of the city.

Late morning we went for a wander to Zhongcunzhen, the little village across the road from me, and had a walk in the sunshine and warmth before getting lunch at a random restaurant. ... that come back to visit so that they remember the special dishes of Cantonese food. We finished our stay with pictures out front. It truly was a delightful visit and a wonderful experience. Jim and I were impressed at the improved level of care that we saw and also the improved conditions. Still heartbreaking to see all the children in need of a family. The rest of the day we toured Guangzhou. We stopped at the Chen Family temple that is over 100 years old and ...
