This entry has pictures from our brief stay in Guangzhou, our Hotel, the view of our apartment in Zhuhai, and our Zhuhai Fellowship Dinner.

This trip was about 15 days. Though we didn't feel it good to take so many pictures, we were really happy to spend the time with our dearly loved brethren!

... near the toilet and kitchen, then notice the truck loads of food on our table and laugh. We could do nothing but laugh at ourselves and the situation, all the while trying to cram as much food as possible into our mouths so as not to waste it. On arrival of the chicken, we were full but we were not done. Over the next half hour, we slowly picked away at the spicy dish until it mostly gone and we were bursting. Mean while, Nessy had looked up how to ask for a doggy bag ...

... about lunchtime on Thursday Nov 29 and arrived home Sunday Dec 2. Our itinery had been altered but none of us had actually realised until we arrived in Orlando ready to fly off into the sunset. We were not getting back for another 24 hours after our original schedule. Wow!! What a shock and the pain didn't stop there. Unlike our trip over, we hit a snag at each airport which found us spending quite a few more hours standing around waiting for things to be corrected ...

... the river. By now all the shops had opened so we walked through a range of shopping districts. All the shops are clustered so first we walked past shop after shop of sign makers, then a bevy of florists, then a whole bunch of shops who seem to sell supplies for festivals - lots of red velvet with gold braid. Then I reckon maybe five hundred different shoe shops (you think I'm joking). The Pearl River appeared before us. Guangzhou (which used to be called Canton) has a bad ...

Nice Facilities- SMOKE FILLED

The bed, western toilet, shower, and sink were all nice and satisfactory. They gave us a nice room, though there was construction out the window at the time, that isn't their fault and if you've been in China long enough, you're used to noise.

The first night was good. The second night, however, we returned to our room and it smelled like someone had a smoking party in our room. It was so bad that I could not breath. I went to the front desk and asked if they could give us another room, because we specifically asked for a non-smoking room, and they simply flat out refused.

Having that much smoke in your room is a health-hazard- it was not just a hint of smoke, it was smoke-filled.

We figured out the source; it was the pipes in the bathroom- the construction is so poorly made that the pipes filter up the smoke from the other smoking rooms in the hotel.
