This entry has pictures from our brief stay in Guangzhou, our Hotel, the view of our apartment in Zhuhai, and our Zhuhai Fellowship Dinner.

This trip was about 15 days. Though we didn't feel it good to take so many pictures, we were really happy to spend the time with our dearly loved brethren!

Tricks To Help Get Baby To Sleep

A travel blog entry by fatherdoor1

... out with these more drastic techniques, to help baby learn the feel of going off to sleep, then gradually ease out of them. Replace driving in a car, for example, with being rocked in the bassinet. Always remember that learning to transition into sleep is a big thing for your baby to learn, and it probably won't happen overnight. With patience and persistence, however, baby will gradually learn how to fall asleep by himself, helping both baby and yourself get a good night's ...

Hope you enjoy the pics.

There have also been a lot of earth works going on
outside my apartment since end of Jan, and it seems there is a golf driving
range being formed. It doesn't really impact much on me - I still look out
through trees and get a glimpse of the grass area. I managed to find some early
photos I took, so you can see the progress.

... now they rent it to upscale restaurateurs. If only this could happen naturally without the monopolistic undertones. But, it's because of the monopoly that it provides a genuine feeling of escape for the city-dweller in Foshan.
We didn't stay here after all, it was too busy. We went to a great Cantonese restaurant instead, which I liked better than the faux-western food on order in the village anyway. ...

... at the expense of expat Arabs, Persians, Christians and Jews.

Guangzhou has always been highly regarded in the Chinese empire, developing steadily as an international shipping, industrial and travel center. The Portuguese arrived in 1514 and managed to finagle a monopoly on European trade for more then 100 years. They bungled the Guangzhou name into "Cantao", and for the next 400 years, the place was known ...

    Nice Facilities- SMOKE FILLED

The bed, western toilet, shower, and sink were all nice and satisfactory. They gave us a nice room, though there was construction out the window at the time, that isn't their fault and if you've been in China long enough, you're used to noise.

The first night was good. The second night, however, we returned to our room and it smelled like someone had a smoking party in our room. It was so bad that I could not breath. I went to the front desk and asked if they could give us another room, because we specifically asked for a non-smoking room, and they simply flat out refused.

Having that much smoke in your room is a health-hazard- it was not just a hint of smoke, it was smoke-filled.

We figured out the source; it was the pipes in the bathroom- the construction is so poorly made that the pipes filter up the smoke from the other smoking rooms in the hotel.
