    ... of some “veteran” teachers, we found some new food sources which will help – cream cheese and sliced ham. I made Blanche’s mushroom dip last night and it tasted soooo good!

    We know the deep freeze has settled in at home and we’re shivering in empathy. At least there hasn’t been a lot of snow to shovel yet!

    ... And, all the staff was "decorated" with a big (and I mean BIG) red flower made out of fabric and pinned up by their faces on their uniforms. They brought our dishes out one at a time. The first dish was this really yummy bread we have discovered this trip. It's served on a plate alongside plastic gloves. It's just really ironic to me that in a country where it's acceptable to spit and blow your nose on the sidewalk and have little children tinkle ...

    ... try something and don't be vague. For supper we ate frog, jellyfish, eel and bugs! The bugs themselves were okay taste wise, texture is what got us. If we forgot to mention rule number one is don't tell anyone you love something because you will get more than you can eat. This restaurant was not our favourite as everything was very salty, Jim's uncle had to tell them a few times to lay off the salt. Apparently they got a new chef in, so this may have explained ...
