The Snow is Driving Me Up the Wall--the City Wall

... and Johnson. In second grade we will teach them the nouns for the foods and we will teach them 4 basic phrases: I like... I do not like... I eat... I cook. In fourth grade we will do the same thing, but add prepositions: on, in, under, and over. We are bringing all the Chinese students Jenks tattoos as a gift. We want to do a good job for our new Chinese friends. Wish us luck!!!

CHAT NUMERO 3: Codename Stalk-Cat

Peu de choses sont connus de ce chat, hormis le fait qu'il complote, se cache dans de sombres recoins et observe. Dans quel but? Seul le temps nous le dira.

Je crois que demain on va aller voir les pandas.

Je vous aime! Et profitez des sourires que la vie vous lance. Meme ceux edentes.

The Hot Pot lunch

... br>Our lunch today was at an incredible restaurant where we had 'hot pot'. It is very similar to a fondue, except you have 2 choices. The pot in the middle of the table is divided into 2 sections, the middle and the outer ring. The inner ring is filled with chicken and fish broth, and the outside ring is filled with oil and about million spicy spices (including the red peppers that we don't eat). Each of the entrees is brought on a plate ...

I prefer sugar over meat) and study for the final. She was like oh no! eat lunch with me! So we did. Luckily we still ate at a fast place, so I had some egg fried ...

Down with the pandas

... our stay in the city. Chengdu is very well known for being the centre of panda breeding in China, and on our first whole day we decided to book a so called `tour` with the hotel to the centre. However our `guide` could not speak a word of English which was a bit disappointing, and we frankly did not want to pay extra when we arrived. In the end, it was no problem, we saw lots of different pandas, most are the normal white and black ones, but there were also ...

Not all black and white

... told us that everyday from 2-5 in the afternoon is a similar scene. We were able to practice our pitiable but functional Chinese and it was surprisingly easy to understand his, far removed from the tricky accent of Zhejiang province that wreaks havoc on the untrained ear. He even invited us to join, but it was clear they knew the dance and we did not, so we wiggled away and turned our sights to the Sichuanese specialty: the teahouse. Tucked away in the ...

The main one being that the trip was funded by the local Chinese government. Whoopee f**king do .I had seen what the government had done to the Chinese people over the last 50 years what were they going to do to me and Lisa over the next two. I was about to find out!
